I'm on self-imposed house arrest over here today. In fact, most of this week I've been laying low and staying home. Those of you who know me in real life this must come as a surprise. I'm usually the one who is, more often than not, away from home. My days are packed with to-do lists and stops to make. This week however, I decided to respect the season and slow down a little. Enjoy the look at snow from my armchair, feel warm and snug inside the house. Take time to finish those projects that have been building up around the house and get back into a routine with LN.
I'm lovin' it.
The house is slowly getting de-cluttered, emails are being answered, closets purged, decorations hung, food baked, recipes found...all in all a very productive few days. And throughout it all there has also been snuggles and kisses and "more mama's" and crazy dancing and lots of laughter. Being home can be good. But it's good to have a plan. Now, where shall we go tomorrow?
Stillness and staying home can be a good thing. Just sometimes too much of a good thing.
